Well my 3.2 girl has just let me down, just cut out , no warning, waiting for breakdown to arrive , she fired up whilst I'm waiting , but cut out again ??? Any ideas
-
could be any number of things, but have you tried disconnecting the maf sensor to see if it helps :-\
-
Crank shaft sensor. Do the pedal trick.
-
Sounds like the crankshaft sensor right enough. It's a pita as it keeps cutting out but will restart again after a short time. Simple fix though :P
-
Just had someone look quickly, well I mean quickly, gone off to get a suitable vehicle to recover, quick plug in , no communication, probably a sensor, well I can work that bit out for myself , not impressed,
-
Just done pedal trick lots and lots of flashes just on the back of rec truck will try and sort out flashes when home
-
Sound like crank sensor to me as well :y
-
Done the pedal trick, came up with 10-6-(5 or 6)-10-10-3-3-5 does this look correct, have checked several times , is it more than 1 code ??, thanks for replys, got more joy from you guys than the person that came out to me earlier

If you check the maintenance guides you'll see it explained really well. It's very easy but you need to concentrate on the counting :D

Thanks once again guys , will let you know, but will have to wait till weekend, as of to newquay for a few days , and won't have inter web net, but not in the omega
-
If it restarts immediately after cutting out and then quickly cuts out again I'd suspect maf - as said try disconnecting it to confirm faulty.
If it won't restart immediately, but will after a wait and doesn't cut out straight away, then most likely duff crank sensor ;)
