Title: bank reference

i have applied for a house and the letting agent has applied for a bank reference, all it says is do i manage my account properly and can i afford 580 pounds a month. ive passed all the credit checks and got all good references. so why bother with this. and does anyone no how long they take to come back. i want an answer as to when i can move asap.
