I hear we have 'Tractor' experts here on OOF! ;)
Lately my-own tractor seems down on power; in fact it rather feels as if something is holding it back! ::)
.....also, I can`t find the Vx paint codes for this model year: any ideas?
I fancy fitting some alloys to it for some much needed 'bling'; perhaps I should post in the wanted section to see if anyone has any for sale. ;D
BTW: I don`t know what all the fuss is about with this Bio-diesel; I use some lovely pretty-pink burny oil in mine and it works really nicely. :y

Thats an easy fix, drop the tail lift and snap the sheer pins to the baby plough (or plow for our lesser american members :y) you have! ;)
Funnily enough, many moons ago I used to help a local cattle farmer with harvesting and ploughing (he used to do contract work for the crop farmers and part of the payment was straw etc).
We worked one field on Naseby hill with a large Ford ploughing tractor which I was driving and a very big reversible plough on the back.
What you found though was every hour or so, the tractor did a wheelie and belted off up the hill as the sheer pins went on the coupling.
If you then re-attached the plough (we had a box of sheer pins in the cab) and lifted it.......when sifting through the soil you found.....helmets, cannon balls, armour, bones.....all from the civil war!

So is this why you borrowed the tractor at weekends then Mark. ;D ;D ;D

A Chamberlain Super 70 from 1954 (Aussie), but it did have a supercharged 3-71 2-stroke GM diesel engine and twin rear wheels - What a lovely sound it had. Great for popping wheelstands if you could master the hand activated clutch ::)
Nice tractor Debs :y

Think my favourite would have to be the Ford 5000. Spent many a happy hour haymaking on one of those when I was a kid.
