Hello all
Got this message to the dashboard twice today. What does it tell?
Remember I got same message some years ago just before the alternator broke. I measured today the alternator voltage with 3500 rpm in engine and full electric load on like lights fans rear screen heater etc. and the voltage climbed (up) to 13.8V. Then I put all the load off and the voltage with 3500 rpm climbed to 14.1 V. These values seem to me quite low, I remember the alternator is 100 or 120 A.
When I was last time under the car I realized that the cable between engine and chassis is in very bad condition. Have to change that soon. The starter motor runs very "strongly" so I do not believe that the cable is the problem now.
If you have any tips please let me know, perhaps battery, it is more than 4 years old.

Either the adjusters inside the headlamp failed - unlikely though .. or, more probably, one of the two sensors have popped apart.
Sensors are front nearside wishbone and rear nearside suspension arm. The little "rods" often "pop off" the little ball joints. Push back on firmly, and if needed use a small cable tie to hold them.
Quite a few posts on the subject around :)
this shows the front one ...

OK, thanks, not alternator problem, good. Changed just summer tyres yesterday, one corner a time. Perhaps something really popped off (or broke), have to check.

Just checked fault codes, B3413 and B3435. First one is clear (front sensor) and comes back every time after erasing. B3435 comes back now and then. What is it?

Servo on left headlight.

Ok, let's wait how the left side operates in long term. Front sensor rod was popped out from the lower suspension arm end. Put it back and cleared codes. After a short tour no detected codes. Seem to work. Both lamps move and find their poosition when put on and ignition on. Thanks for all, have a nice weekend. :)
