Title: went shopping for a new wrisidiotch
Post by: Bacon Butty Man on 14 May 2008, 20:45:04
went shopping for a new wrisidiotch cos i killed my beloved Breil watch, it was either a Seiko or a Citizen, had £200 to spend, after an hour or two i decided on one of two Citizen peices, the one i really liked was £279 from F Hinds jewellers :-[ but the other was £169 from H Samual.
i thouht lets see if i can knock the manager down in f hinds on the one i really liked, Wifey n i went into the store and asked to see the watch, its solar powered and good quality, i asked what his best price was, thats the best we can do, i badgered more n the price came down,n down n down, i finally settled on £185 ;D ;D ;D ;D, £15 under budget.
so the moral of the story, barter even in a major retail chain. :y :y

Have to say I do like watches have quite a few of them, struggle to justify some of the prices some good watches cost though, the last watch I bought was a Tissot touch. Interesting that you bartered though and got the price down. Last time I bartered was on a laptop and they matched the price from the other store and saved me £200 quid :y
