Post by: plym ian on 23 April 2013, 08:42:19
Found this just wondering if its too cheap, got to be something wrong at that price might give the guy a call later just wanted your opinions first

Even if there are a few problems don't mind chucking a few quid at it

I bet it needs a cambelt change so budget for that

No MOT so how will you collect it?

Worth a look and offer £200!

Rac could get it back for me if I just say cam belts gone they won't even check that :)

Need to ask the question why a Dealer who's in Business to make money though selling Cars is selling a Car with no MOT?, some things not right to me.

Wouldn't count on the RAC not checking the Cambelt, one bolt off, pull cover back, look at Cambelt.

£250? Thats scrapyard money. MOT failure. Probably something expensive, wheel bearings, bushes, of course the obligatory brake pipes etc. It'll need a cambelt and service, probably tyres too.   I would consider it for parts but you need to look it over first.  :-\

Im sure they do a 3 day policy where they insure you , so maybe if it was booked in for an mot when picked up it would be ok to drive .. not far from me and sure ive seen the ad before  :-\ recon a few hundred to get it back into shape  :-\

I just paid 350 for a 53 plate 2.6 CDX with tax and test, knowing it needed a few bits like camcover gaskets n coil pack so it's not really too cheap as it will need some cash spending as mine did

:o Bargain  :y Ive seen some cars at breakers yards going cheap and most need cam gaskets and posssibly coil packs ... almost mint condition . Seems folks are scrapping them just for minor issues  :(

Look at the rest of his stock all budget cars, I am not sure why they wouldn't just run it through an MOT and stick it up at 5-600 ?

Unless there is a mountain of work to do to get it through not mentioned in the ad  ???

From the only pic, i can see a crease in the front wing..bit of damage to front bumper...and one of the headlamp washers is missing.....and i havent even got my glasses on  ;D

Probably too much cosmetic damage to it and probably failed its MOT for the dealer to consider putting right and trying to make a profit out of it  :y

How comes when a car is shown for sale everybody has to slag it off. For fecs sske its a £250 quid car with 4 months tax, £200 would drive it away,.
theres another thread regarding a 3.2 irmee estate thats been spanked up the ar#% and no negative post.
 is it me......
