Had to go to a meeting in Paddington yesterday, Sky use a company which generally only has Hybrids, but this turned up.
Must say what a smooth ride, really floated around over the bumps. None of the crash, bang, roll you get normally on are crap roads, just glided over. Quite impressive, shame its French built. As they are not too badly priced second hand now :-\
On the way back on a 62 plate Prius thing, what a load of crap, not very comfy, cheap build inside, rubbish boot & the way it was driven was hardly economical ::)

C6 is a real luxobarge, lots of tech for the money though if it all works(and stays working :-X)

I rather like the C6. It makes a refreshing change from the Germans who usually dominate this market.
A left field choice, one for the man who likes to be that little bit different. Good value, too. :y :y

I assume it was on hydro-pneumatic suspension then ....... Citroen have stuck with it for a long time (late 50s when the DS came out)

Cast your eye over this, Mr Tunnie

Yes Andy it was :y
Driver said it took some getting used to, but once you knew how it behaved it was fairly predictable.
It was by far the best ride of any car, even better than Jag.
Just fact its French is biggest worry, not sure what they are like to DIY service :-\

I had one for a weekend a few years back as freebie
I think it was the 3.0 V6 6 speed auto, with every possible extra, which I actually found really responsive and the kids loved the space in the back. Only down side was when I returned on Monday I was informed in that trim you wouldn't get much change from 40k :D
Nice car though, probably the best weekend freebie Citroen ever gave me :y

That 40k car is now £6k. Which makes it an interesting future choice :)

F Type? Really? Did not know the disco link either.
How reliable is that fancy suspension? :-\

Quite reliable on the old Bx and Xantia(except the activa) but lots more electronics on the newer C5/C6 so more chance of summit going tits up :-\

We had a couple of C4s the 1.6 hdi variant, that we got brand new in 06 I think for a measles 9k with our discount
Late 2011 we sold 1 with I think 260 ish k on the clock, as it was a sales exec car we were by no means the best at maintaining them but French or not I was we'll impressed.
Don't get me wrong it drove like a bag of spanners and it all felt a bit loose but I don't recall any serious issues with it what so ever, with the exception of a steering rack and ps pump :)

Thanks sounds good :y
