House alarm suggests that either you've already been burgled, or you think there is a good chance you will in the future.

Estate agent told me that. :)

doggys as much use as a hanbrake on a boat, you would have to wake him up first and the onl way he would get rid of a burglar is to pass wind, he is definatley a retiered greyhound :y

Greyhounds....they aint small.

Think you will need to contact alarm companies for advice, cos I dont think pet friendly will cut it, thats small cats and dogs really.

Suspect you need to got for a well armed perimeter for day to day use, and an extra pir or 2 for when you are out and choose to part arm, or full arm the system. (or add pir's where the dog cannot go, like upstairs?)

Keep us posted if you dont mind, I could do with renewing parts of our system, and have been reviewing options.

Ours does steps outside no problem, but has shown no interest in the stairs at home, which suits me just fine.

got to tell you a quick story off topic

we let doggy off the lead well jane cant do 35mph very well shes getting  a bit old now but doggy is such a food freak, once over the park they go to, this poor bloke was sitting having his lunch a burger .Doggy stops in his tracks runs over to the guy as he went to stroke him he knicked his burger ;D ;D ;D

Did the same thing this weekend old couple on a park bench making thier own sandwhiches jane saw the ears go up, spotted the old couple but too late the sandwhich had gone

He should have been a seagull

they are just too quick he got out once well several times when we first got him bloody scary as they have no sense what so ever

We have the nutter over the road every ones got one he throws rocks at seagulls on his roof :o :o :o Doggy runs out the house across a busy road and has the biggest dump ever in mr nutters garden ::) ::)

had to chase the bugger in the van once, when i fainally got in front of him he knew it was not play time and ran stright back to wifey

We are banned from one park on a sunday where they play league football doggy has been known to run off with the ball :o :o kiddies league football is a very serious affair you know well for the parents it is

Doggy is called doggy becuase he is a right Dog real name is teverna towers

Should be good if we all get to Newent, You, Us, Simon...any more Greyhound families?

As youve said...a burglar need only worry if he brings a cat, or squirrel with him!

With pet sensors now day's, its not case of whether the sensor can see the target, its "how" the sensor interprets what it see's  ;)
A decent pet sensor, properly mounted and set up, will ignore most targets under 80 kg unless it dances around smack in front of the thing.
Dogs are really not a problem, but cats are because the little buggers get everywhere when your not looking  >:(

As for Texecom, there older stuff was shite (imo) but to be fair, since the class 1 to 3 system came out the newer stuff is pretty decent.
If i'm honest, nobody really makes crap equipment anymore.
It more a case of some manufactures got there arse into gear first and there are the ones I stick with  ;)
At the end of the day I've got systems out there which have been installed 20 years and I've never been back to them for a fault  ;) ;) ;)

Sorry, but I've got to say this ...........
I'll help anyone out on this but i'm not getting into a "my systems better then yours bitch fight" that this forum has sadly turned into  :( :( :(
Life's just too short  ;)
