Title: Big day today!

My eldest lad reports to HMS Raleigh today to start his navy basic training,we are very proud of him yet also a little sad as we won't see him for 10 weeks,I gotta try and hold it together for his Mum somehow :-\

That takes me back to me walking through the gates of HMS Ganges at the age of 15 years and 3 months, back in November 1972................it was softer in prison, even then........ :o :o :o

Your lad will be fine, these days the CPO's tuck the recruits in bed at night...... :D :D

I do wish him well, he will have a great time, remember it's harder for the parents..... :y :y
