Got drivers door stripped down putting solenoid motor in.. seen this on floor..where has it fell off from :-\ :-\ about a 20mm X 10mm

Ok solenoid in its dead ..can it be anything else ie fuse :-\

Is everything all plugged back in :-\ also if the solenoid is second hand, then it might still be faulty :'(

yes all plugged back in and dead so i removed it again and just plugged the solenoid into its elec....dead

looking ant touching solenoid when doing remote ...lifeless :'( :'(

I take it i am right in thinking the two front solenoids are the same ...pass door will work on drivers door :-\ :-\

Correct front locking motors are the same left & right
rears are both the same but different from the fronts :y

This (from maintenance guide) made me ask that question
In the following picture the mechanism has been stripped down to show the two microswitches in position. Note that passenger and rear doors do not use the second (black in this case) microswitch, and it may not be fitted to the unit at all. The repair procedure is the same. however.

I've always been led to believe the fronts were interchangeable :-\ in fact I have a used passenger locking motor on my driver's door :y
