Replacing rear springs due to n/s being broken, on my 3.2l Y reg elite saloon.
Main dealer asked for ident no., which I reported as LA clearly painted on each one in white marking. Dealer can't find this but has code LU or LW but can't give any further info as to which is correct one.
The vehicle has automatic levelling fitted, and I understand this requires softer version.
Does anyone know which is the correct item, please?
Incidentally, the marking on the broken one is upside down. Is the spring orientation critical or are they identical whichever way fitted? I know the top tail of the spring has to face backwards, from the how-to in maintenance section.
I'm hoping to get hold of these for Saturday.
Many thanks,
Shyboy.

I put Sachs on mine. £50 for the pair from ECP's IIRC. I will say they're quite soft but I like that :y

Used to recommend KYB, but they rusted very badly. The Boge replacement ones are lasting, much, much better.
