I hope its ok to post this link from another forum if not please remove it.
I have done a paperclip test and the only code to comeback 0335 (crank sensor) but apparently you will always get that if the car if off. The post above points to cam sensor do you agree?

Wish i could answer that rikki , wonder if it mite be the lambda sensor playing up :-\

Cam sensor on my old 2.2 mig would pop in and out of limp home mode randomly, codes were coming up for random things like the auto transmission, crank sensor until I left the scanner attached while drivibg and scanned it straight away as soon as it lit up, nailed it as the cam sensor being at fault. New one fixed it ! 52 quid on trade at the time I think.
May not be your issue though :-\

Use to have a Vectra company car (around 1995). Started throwing up spanner light and limp mode, mainly from cold. Off/on ran ok.
Booked into local stealers, new cam sensor. Few months later started doing it again, new cam sensor. Then again a few months later.
Spoke to leasing company and got them to recommend another stealers. They apparently contacted them and asked for genuine parts to be used. Problem solved. There endeth .......

My 1.6 Zafira has had the lambda sensor fault code for 2 years now, Eml been on since Summer 2011 and never has it gone into limp mode ???
If it were me I may be inclined to get it plugged in somewhere that knows what they are doing, alternatively you could end up replacing a cam sensor and Lambda at a cost of 80 odd quid and it may be neither :y

My wife's 1.8 petrol Vectra estate did the same thing about 5 years ago. I replaced the cam sensor and it has been fine ever since.

Yours zafira code is probably for the heater circuit and it won't go into limp for that :y
