Very sad , but sometimes people bite off a bit more than they can chew. Condolences to those bereaved.

Probably not attached to the helmsman, sad how a little oversight can cause such awful results :'(
-
Very sad news
Having an 8 year old daughter myself it really makes you think how 1 event can change everything :'(
-
This is a terrible tragedy and amazing bravery from the man that managed to get aboard and stop it, he probably saved the lives of the other 4 people! As a jetskier I can appreciate that it can go from fun to tragedy in the blink of an eye and this is in the back of my mind every time I launch, especially if I have one of my son's with me so this event has really struck a cord with me and my family.

From the pics today kill cord still attached in boat :o
Bad oversight (in hindsight)
-
See from the news this morning that the driver was not wearing the kill switch cord.
What a plank, killed two people >:(
-
Death by missadventure then......
-
Even if you only do a one day Level 1 RYA powerboat course, the kill cord is one of the first things you are taught about, right up there with life jackets...
This incident simply highlights why :'(

As with most accidents their thinking is "That will never happen to me" we all sometimes forget how fragile we are & how easily it is to be involved in tragedy, very sad for those left behind.
