Title: Sticky buttons...
Post by: Mr.OmegaMan on 09 May 2013, 00:57:07
Boot release, headlight switch, radio button, drivers side electric windows switches.. and many other areas are covered in some kind of sticky substance which I've had no luck in removing, They are mainly in the soft touch areas..

Any ideas apart from replacing buttons which I might do for the boot release as its really ingrained  :-\

Try some Ambersil Groom Foaming (upholstery) cleaner, lifts the crud off moist surfaces :y

If it's really horrible, then white spirit :y makes you wonder about the rest of it though :-\

I'm amaized how some people can be so dirty in a above avarage car, would expect stuff like this in a corsa, astra etc.. It's horrible using the parts covered in whatever the hell the sticky stuff is which could be anything  :D ;D. Strangely everything in the back sticky free  ;D.. Will look into Ambersil  :y

Found this while searching on google...

Ambersil will be on the shelf next to it :y If that doesn't shift it, I'll personally bring you some clean switches :y

I probably wouldn't get that desolvit stuff too close to the soft touch surfaces :-\
