Title: Automatic Transmission writing on screen

Hi there,

I was driving my car home this morning and had the writing Automatic transmission come up on the display screen but had no lights come on meaning the little light with spanner on it. Could someone please help me with what the problem could be is it fluid level or something else? Please help

Is your car an auto?, not as stupid a question as it sounds (i hope). Mine is a manual and i always get
[automatic transmission] message up on screen when first starting up. Never caused any probs for last 6 yrs. :-\

Any lights on by gear lever at time of fault?
