Well, I finally sat in the new Miggy Elite today after buying it on the 27th last month. (My birthday pressent to self)
As you can guess, battery was flat, no remote locking. Could'nt get the door to unlock on the key, but got the boot open.
My mate squeezed through, poped the arm rest down and tried to pull a door lock up, no joy there. He mangaed to get over and pull the bonnet.
Leads connected and off went the alarm, where's the keys hehe.
Had to leave the GLS running for a while before we got some juice in the battery but at least we got it started.
Ran it for a few mins, adjusted the seats and jumped it and started checking it over.
Sussed out the sun roof, got some tunes going, put the air con on, (Instant chill) checked the phone on the head unit and found out my new mobile number. Checked all the lights etc you know, play. play, mmmm more gadgets had a dable with the sat nav.
Then went to double check everything else. at this point the lights had all be on/off, tried hazzards, rear blind, whilst all of this had been happening the drivers door was wide open (no buzzer)
Tried the hazzards, all he climate buttons and then switched the heated drivers seat on.
OPPS
No aircon at all, no heated seats, but there was a buzzer sounding. So turned off the engine and started it back up thinking everthing would reset itself.
Tried my best thinking I had to reset the climate, but just could not remember what I had read to do it. Then I realised there were no dashes lit up on the temp settings.
Haynes manuel out, yup, had blown the fuse, panic over.
Every thing I have found/checked works perfectly on the car apart from the sat nav, and the problem there is me.
2 questions?
How do I rest the climate when given the errors it displays if it screws up.
and
Does the fuse blow on the heated seat due to an overload, or is it a safety feature.
It was fitted with a 30amp fuse and was correct according to the book.
TIA

i think you press off and auto together for 5 seconds

I thought I was right, had tried it.
But I also seem to remeber the error is that the 2 temp displays show -- --
With this in mind it seemed to prove that it didnt need the reset.

there is a fault with it.
-
Or was a fault with it.....the dashes indicate that a code is stored and wont go until the fault codes are cleared with Tech2.
It could of course be a battery low error code.

On MID display, is outside temp ok?

unrelated, but I've seen a number of failures on the dual solar sensors fitted to facelifts recently...

Just checked the codes and you could be right.

there is a fault with it.
But what is the fault. ? as the climate was completely dead.
All is welll, replaced the fuse as I mentioned.
Never having been in an Elite before we were just trying everthing and we were still put juice in the battery being in tickover. Air con on auto and then switching on the heated seat. Just didnt know if it was a safety thing or an overload.
No fault showed on the aircon or mid (not that I was paying attention to that) Ijust remembered there was no display on the temp, and the rear blind wasnt working any more, ciggi lighter etc not working.
