I bought another car about six weeks or so ago a v reg facelift version of my old one so both 2.5td estates.
My old car fitted like a glove so to speak very comfy, although i did install a recaro interior (well seats)
Didn't really like the new fl one at first ,but thought it was just me and different car,you know how it is !!
But now after a few issues and niggles sorted out and daily use I still cannot get comfortable in it ,did a 150mile round trip again yesterday and was just adjusting the seat ,moving around and wiggling nearly all the time!
Is it just me or is the rear view mirror larger in them or nearer or something, it just seems "in yer face".
As for the interior trim ,rattling creaking seems just flimsier all round. don't get me wrong I love these cars ,boot full of tools ladders etc and returning 45/48 mpg but seems noisier (road noise)and there is a draught coming through the driver door handle pull! where is that coming from?
I like the look of the front of the car better, but that could be going from champagne to a dark red /brown /mauve colour i guess but oh dear that rear bumper what a mess!
Any way just my thoughts ,while waiting to go to the dreaded dentist!!!

Each to their own really. I had a mini facelift Elite for years and loved it but am currently running a facelift 2.6 CDX. I actually prefer the facelift cloth seats and find them a bit harder but comfier than the older leather. the rubber coating on everything is a bit fragile though!
Draught through the door pull is possibly a missing/torn plastic membrane behind the door trim, someones been at the central locking probably.

Elite seats offer a decent range of adjustment and easily fitted :y cloth or leather to suit personal preference :y

It is a cd so heated and electric seats ,what else do you get with an elite ?
And do the MV6 recaro type seats come in a cream cloth? ,I have only ever seen in dark.

Unlike the CD/CDX seats which only have a single electric height adjustment, the Elite seats are electrically adjustable in the following ways:
forwards/backwards,
seatback angle,
height of seat-front,
height of seat-rear.
Allows much better fine tuning of the seat position :y

Its well known that I find the MFL a more comfortable car than the FL.
I'm basing this on the 2 MFL and 2 FL I've owned and used as a daily runner (albeit one of the FL for only 6 weeks before it had had enough ;D).
In addition, I had a PFL briefly, but can't comment on that, as the longest journey I did in it was 30 miles.

I struggle with the seats in Mrs VXL V6's CD estate (back problems) but i'm fine with either the leather or cloth Elite seats in either of mine.

Think it's really horses for courses. I find my Elite really comfy and it's an FL. Just plonk amply padded botty on equally padded leather seat and everything else just falls straight into place. Love the one touch memory function on the Elite for when I get the car back after the missus has been driving it. I hate having my driving position messed with. I'm a bit like Homer Simpson and the couch bum crease on the couch (Simpson fans will know what I'm talking about)

I know what you mean ,but i find every time I plonk in the fl its wrong! and then spend twenty minuets trying to sort it ,until next time i get in and its wrong again! whereas the mfl was always just right ! I did prefer the mfl and guess I will come around to luvin this one,I do like the look of it, just don't yet like driving it. Yet!

Had both..liked the pfl...now have a facelift c.d....changed the cloth interior for m.v.6 leather..so much better and would not go back to pfl.....but thats only my opinion for what its worth :y
