Title: Next step....
Post by: Omega 404 on 19 May 2013, 23:52:03
2.6 V6, iv ma heads port n polished, g cams, n throttle bodies on, sitting roughly 210 I think. Awesome but not enough. What are we talking to tune this a wee touch more, was thinkn of mapping but wanted to get it down to basic mechanics first, more importantly, what are talking to turbo it. Have the general idea but only new to V6's.  :P

2.6 is the wrong engine for forced induction. Need to uprate the crank, rods and pistons first :-\

Cheaper and easier to fit a C20LET in :y

I have no idea :-\ if I were going to change the engine, then I would be fitting a proper one ::)

A 3.2 would be plug and play and it has a forged crank, which is a start...

Yeah drop a 3.2, something that'll handle the extra power bit better, then start.

3.2 with 2.6 heads should see the compression raised close to that of the 3.0/2.5 to.
