Just being looking thru ebay, there seem to be a few low milage omegas popping up at the moment. for example.

If only I had a few spare pennies.

I don't rate low mileage cars that much, I think something thats been run regularly is a better prospect and well looked after high mileage ones are fine too!

There are advantages and disadvantages to low mileage cars. I have just bought my youngest son 1998 S plate Astra with 38,000 miles from new. The car spent its first 5 years on Jersey and then in Bournemouth with a very old person.
Advantage is the interior is like new, disadvantage is the engine had noisy lifters (fixed) and it is suffering rathering high crank case pressure like it may have a stuck piston ring. All that said I would prefer to do mechanical repairs than any bodywork repairs.
All in all I would take low mileage over high mileage any time. Just my opinion of course.

this is the one I bought a few weeks ago. Usual thing, owned by a chap with lots of readies, fully stamped, low miles

....a pretty rare beast. I had one of exactly the same vintage and specification.. :y
Must say that in my opinion the Omega is better suited to an auto box. :y

??? can thrash auto or manual--its the driver-not the trans ;)

The 2.2 is an auto, again a 1 owner with a very comprehensive service history, box is as smooth as silk, it is a 2003 with 88,000 miles. I don't mind driving either auto or manual , in my mind the Omegas are a lot of car for very little money
