geeeeze been on to dvla , driving standards. you have to pass a multiple choice exam to talk to anyone nowadays :o
my question please
Wfey can only drive an automatic car as she has that type of licence :y
DVLA say she can also drive a semi automatic as long as it has an automatic clutch :y
was going to have a go in a car with with an ECG gear box electronically controlled manual gearbox thy do noy have a clutch pedal so does this make them a semi auto as they have an electronic clutch
any advice :y
-
If its not got a clutch pedal its classed as an auto, pretty sure thats right :y
-
I agre with Henry. :y A Smart is a semi-auto & can be driven on an auto only licence ;)
-
yes i agree with both andy and henery if a car as know clutch pedal it is an auto...paul is the clutch in the handle of the gear stick??
-
Three pedals manual
Two pedals auto simples. :)
If it has a hand clutch its either a bike or a disabled @########### car.
-
just a gear stick which you put in drive or reverese or you can use it as push up to change down pull down to chage up.
wifey had a smart a fews years back :-[ would have thought it would have been pulled then :-\

it was the salesman (fleet sales) that told me they were classed as a manual so wifey would not be able to drive it ::) ::)
thought i would go on Ask OOF instead :y
