23+ million for his Salisbury Cathedral painting, is it me or has the world got even madder?

Seems that it was paid for by a sort of consortium of museums and galleries, and the Nation Lottery.

It it worth It? I really don't know.  :-\ Is a premier football player worth £150k a week ?  :-\ Not in my eyes, but obviously there are those that think so.

The option was that this painting went abroad. Would that be acceptable ?  :-\ Would it have mattered ?  :-\

Oh dear, just what is the meaning of life ?  :-\ Is it time for a beer yet ?  YES   :D  :y

Pity it wasnt on ebay , id have given 1p for it  ::) ;D
