I think I might get rid of the old boy when the insurance runs out in August, due to a new member in our family. I don't want to do this, especially as I have spared no expense in looking after him.
So, its a March 2001 on a Y plate, 51k, star silver, grey leather interior. Main dealer service history and serviced by myself, and many OOFers. I don't want to write a full advert but briefly, at time of sale it will have 12 month MOT, 9 months tax. Cambelt and GM waterpump last August. New wishbones, poly rear donuts and Goodyear Eagle F1 asymmetric 2 (not cheap!) + WIM. Drives beautifully. :-[ Everything works.
Putting it in writing makes me not want to sell it :'(

What you can get for it mate ;)
Realistically though less than £900 :(
-
Yep,doubt you would get a grand for it. :(
-
Is it a 3.2 ?
If it is going by recent prices eBay, AutoTrader etc. i'd say between £1,500 - £2,000 presuming its clean, mechanically sound etc..
-
Really? :( I thought it be worth more that that! I know its one of the old ones but iirc, Jimbob sold an MV6 estate, 2002 (can't remember the mileage) for £1800
I thought being an Elite with less mileage and new tyres would be close to that
Yep, 3.2

With that millage arround 1.5-2k easily as long as you dont want to sell in a hurry :y
-
That does sound better but I don't know how realistic that it. It's in good, clean condition. TheBoy, chrisgixer, JamesMV6 and Kevin Wood can vouch for it
-
This car is in exceptionally good condition. Personally, I wouldn't take too much notice of valuations on here SMD. As said elsewhere, a car club of any sort has an uncanny way of devaluing its desired model.
Having said that, ;D ...I wouldn't let that go for less than 2k.
Its as blemish and squeak free as the best omega I've seen.
-
Estates fetch more money ime.Having said that,if yours is in really exceptional condition, you may get an exceptional price for it if your patient and wait for the right buyer to come along. :y
-
Its worth what someone is prepared to pay :y I would stick it on an ad for £1800 , that bloke who sells mint omegas would probably advertise it for £3500 if he got his hands on it ::)
-
Stick it up for £1,995 and see how it goes, it's got very low miles on it's side, and if it's a good example, why shouldn't you get that? Have a look at how much some 3.2 Elites are going for, some are fetching a fair price lately.

Thanks for the kind words, Chris - I mean John :y
EMD - You are right about Roger Budden, in fact I might sort out the small blemishes and do a Roger Budden.
Cheers Del, will do some research over the weekend :)
-
I'm struggling to even get offers at £850 for a mint 53 2.6 CDX at the minute :( Elites are shifting better though it seem's

This guy just walks around with a black marker pen and adds another zero to the sticker price. ;D ;D ;)

Just to clarify, is this car an estate? and, if so, is it an auto?............ ;) :-X

Auto saloon, and as low a mileage and well pampered an Omega as you'll find, IIRC.

Looking for a nice estate, I regret not buying that Green estate that Roger Budden bought and sold for a good profit............ ::) ::) :(
