Picked myself up a little SEAT Leon Cupra R last week, haven't really driven it because it's had a coil pack problem, now sorted however. Now the thing has been remapped to 264 BHP (only a 1.8 turbo 225 standard), my lord is it a quick bloody thing :o. Being front wheel drive too it torque steers like a pig, it properly tugs at the wheel, nice to drive though I like it. It's erm not very subtle though :-[:

I like that shape, customer of mine had one with a similar output and as you say it were bloody rapid,he used to reckon on 3k to wear out the front tyres though :o

This will spin in 3rd in the dry, it's pretty lethal even though it's wearing Bridgestone Potenzas :o.

Why do the words "boy racer" keep going through my mind ::) ::)
The only times I see cars like this is usually sat up someones backside or stuck in a ditch ;D ;D

My experience of that tyre type on front wheel drive cars is that they are truely shite!
So no surprise it wheel spins

I quite like them. Good value for money if you're not a badge snob.
I'm not sure about the (I'll get my sunglasses) colour though..... ;D ;D ;)

Very nice :y

I quite like the Leon. One of the few relatively modern cars where they've failed so far to make it goppingly ugly. No doubt they'd succeed soon enough. ;D
Had a few as hire cars in Spain and not managed to destroy one yet (apart from one street-furniture-front-bumper interface issue). :-[

They are great cars,if i wasn't such an old git i would love one but i like comfort over speed now,god i feel old. :'(

i did nearly buy 1 last year, but they do like coil packs when they are tuned to over 250bhp,might be worth keeping 1 as a spare just incase :y

Got four new ones on order, and a nice couple of spares to go with it when it sells :y. Will be giving it a little service this weekend too, plugs & all filters.

even after being tuned they still get a very good mpg out of them engines ;D

Driven sensibly it's pretty good on fuel, foot down though, it's all gone quickly :o.

Pretty good engines, but then it's in a lot of cars (Audi TT for a start ;))
