Title: coolant warning and header tank filling up

hi all just went for wee run and as coming back coolant warning indicator came on so got home and have noticed car very hot but then it is hot today but anyway header tank was set ar correct level but has risen now to about 2/3 inches above level indicator. the hoses are all very hot but seem same temperature along track,any ideas?  :-\

The level will rise in the header tank as the water expands in the system. When it is cold again it should have fallen to the original level. The level line is labelled KALT.

Thanks for reply the water level checked today before I went anywhere today was still sitting a bit  high so took some out and warning still there checked again a short while ago car cooled down but still warning even
though water level where it
should be checked hoses again they seem fine can someone tell me easiest way to get coolant out if I need to change the coolant thanks

Which coolant warning? Are we talking about the warning on the MID? Or the one on the dash? (next to the rev counter)

If its warning on the MID (big display) the coolant bottle has a float sensor, its either stuck of the sensor has failed.

If its temp warning on the dash, are the cooling fans coming on?

 can someone tell me easiest way to get coolant out if I need to change the coolant thanks

the drain tap on the bottom of the rad will drain about half the contents

hi thanks to all,it's the display screen computer.
will check wiring underneath tank and maybe guess get another tank if this one goosed,thanks
