I agree - someone, somewhere will no doubt be grateful for that.  It's amazing the high number of older spec PCs and o/systems that are still in daily use.  One company I know has a mixture of old machines from P4 upwards, running Win200, XP and the later ones running Win7.  The standard Office Suite there is Office 2000!!

Upgraded out desk top ages ago from wind 98 to cope with xp. Needn't have bothered. Haven't turned it on in 6 years. Lap tops and Tablets now. We just don't need it.

Pc>lap top>Tablet/mobile> what next?

My bro still has a couple of crappy P4s running XP running his tills. Entirely my fault, as I vaguely remember shying away from trying to get Epson OPD running without needing admin access all the time. I think Epson fixed that issue long ago, maybe I should try again.  Its on his IT budget forecast for these 2 machines to be replaced before the Christmas rush...  ...if we can find machines that come with Win7, as I doubt the till software will be too great under Win8  :-[
