Hello OOF :)
Can anyone hire a locking kit for the timing belt on a 2.6 ?
And if not where do I go to hire one?
Cheers,
Paul

Paul I'm sure I've seen a post on here offering the use of the kit for a small deposit and covering of postage. Scower the site mate.

Thanks Gary :)

Gone through 3 pages & can't see anyone who hires them out :'(
Seen how much they are on ebay :o not within my very meager budget :(
Have to keep fingers crossed :)

No OOF sets to hire out, I don't recall anyone hiring them out given they are so valuable.
Your best to contact DarthLooKnee or Elite Pete or JamesV6CDX to do a belt change for you :y

Some OOFers do loan them to other OOFers. I think it tends to be local members who can collect and return rather than sending through the post though. :-\

Think some went missing that way :(

I have a kit that I'd be willing to hire out - complete with necessary deep offset spanner.
Am not looking for a huge rental, but would want postage covered and a refundable deposit to be paid in advance.
It would be a fair weight to post - so might be worth buying one from ebay and then selling on - or make me an offer to buy mine...

:y Thank you RobG I'll give them a call on Monday & see what the Hire charge is
And thank you Lincs Robert, I may well take you up on the offer, as I only envisage doing this job once ::) it would be the hire option, the link RobG gave shows postage at £10 express so I would imagine recorded with insurance would be in the same area. :-\
Buying a set would only be viable if I knew I could sell it on quickly for close to what it cost, in past experience it never worked out like that!
I'm stripping down the bits around the engine to find the water leak and at the rate I'm progressing it will be Monday before I will know, along with some 50+ photos so I can compare the appalling way the last person put things back to how they should be !!
Thank you all for your replies and advice, also to all who have produced the guides they are excellent :y
