Right hello everyone and here we go
i have been having problems with the car lately i have done the pedal trick and these are the codes we get
NOTE: we don't always get the same codes together.
P0173
P0170
P0300
P0304
P0305
right the symptoms we are having is the car is stalling at low revs, very delayed throttle especially when accelerating from idle, bad running when cold but when it warms the running gets better but stalling increases, stalling is a lot worse when raining and steering gets very tight and heavy at times.
Now and again the engine management light will flash and it will run horribly with no acceleration but if you stop the engine and leave for a while the engine management light will switch off and car will run like new with no symptoms what so ever but eventually the engine light will come back on and revert to the normal way :'(
things we have replaced are:
Fuel filter
Spark plugs x6
both coil packs
6 o rings on the intake manifold
all 6 injectors
the o ring on the breather bridge
The mas air flow was changed before we bought the car
no air leaks that we can find any help will be appreciated PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME :)
no loss of oil or water

170 & 173 fuel trim malfunction.I would imagine this is the standard 2.6/3.2 lamda issue and nothing to be concerned about at the moment.It doesn't affect the running of the engine.
300 multiple misfire
304/305 misfire on cylinders 4 & 5.
Points to a problem with coil packs.
Possibly used coil packs which were no better than the ones you removed ?
Possibly leaking camcover gaskets which are filling the plugwells with oil and soaking the coilpacks and causing misfire.Or water leaking into coil pack from windscreen scuttle. Pull the coil packs out again and check for oil or water in the plug wells,then report back with findings. :y

No.. The classic problem is with pre-cats and gives codes 0420 and 0430. Fuel trim codes are certainly something to worry about. Given that they are on both banks (170 and 173) I rould be looking for an intake air leak or possibly a failed MAF sensor, especially if a non-genuine one was fitted when it was previously changed.
Some live data from the ECU would help track this down.

Hello guys thanks for the answers this is where I'm at first of all the coil pack were removed and no signs of oil or any contamination secondly the butterfly's and throttle body was cleaned about two weeks ago and lastly MAF sensor was a Bosch and cost the last owner £100+

Also guys I'm thinking could a crank sensor be at fault if do how could I check this and should I buy a new one

Try unplugging the MAF and see if the car runs better. :y
If the engine runs the same with the MAF disconnected,get some carb cleaner or similar and spray small squirts of it around the engine while its running and see if the revs suddenly rise.If this happens you have an air leak in the area you just squirted.

Hey we unplugged the maf and the car ran horribly so I guess we can rule that out
