On Vectra B , the silencer clamp has rotted away but can you buy a clamp that comes in 2 pieces as it looks like a one piece clamp thats on it put on before the flare :-\
-
Do you mean this :-\
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/OPEL-VECTRA-C-GTS-Silencer-Fitting-Kit-BOLK-BOL-BR42-/271221940675?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Model%3AVectra&hash=item3f261661c3
or this :-\

I think the only thin that will join the silencer to the pipe will be a V clamp or something rob :-\
Something like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Universal-2-5-Heavy-Duty-Stainless-V-Band-Clamp-Exhaust-Turbo-Downpipe-/260886667071?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3cbe0e9f3f :-\
Has to be a V for the lip on the silencer unless i flatten the lip and use one like in your link :-\ :-\
-
In the picture the clamp you see has rotted away .. so need some kind of replacement :(

Thats just a picture of one thats ok mate not actually mine ;) As you see the clamp cannot be taken off or a new one put on unless i flatten or cut off the lip on the pipe :-\
-
oh yes you can ;) ;) cut pipe-fit flange-weld pipe up ;)--see what happens when a hotrodder gets on here :y

That would do it but dont have a welder mate ;D + not sure if the flanges are available separate :-\
-
check here mate-http://www.popbrowns.co.uk/ might help--or scrappy? might be worth a mooch?
-
I think the only solution is to take the box off and flatten out the lip on the pipe then fit a straight joining piece if nothing else becomes available :-\
Or make a bracket up so that bolts from other end pull the 2 parts together , ill work something out .. always do in the end :y
-
before you start bashing---think a minute-if you get flange off-then what??

Flange is hanging on by a thread mate , just rust so i just wrapped it in a exhaust bandage and paste . A screwdriver would prize it off its that brittle :(

What you described is out there somewhere

I wouldn't trust guesswork for that,go measure the pipe as it will need to be a good fit to work :y
