Title: What should I do?
Post by: megaomega123 on 19 June 2013, 09:49:01
I have a 2000 (W) 2.5v6 cdx manual with lpg that I need to get rid of. LPG is working perfectly and always has (Installed by James). It is showing 191000 on the clock but is more like 197000 but has not clocked up during abs ecu failure. Abs ecu still needs repair. The osr handbrake shoes are causing problems due to the hole that the retaining pin goes through has opened up. I attempted a repair which only held for a few days. The steering wheel wobbles between 40-50mph. The aerial no longer works and has a windscreen sticky on one, which is ok. The timing belt is 500000 miles overdue. Everything else, engine wise is sound. It's done around 100000 miles on the lpg, so nice clean combustion. 5 alloys with good tyres. Tow bar with twin electrics (2 years old). Bit of rust coming through at the bottom corner of the rear doors and a bit on the arches. The inside and outside come up nice with a clean.
I have been offered £600 with the abs ecu fixed! I am going to turn this offer down because I feel that the car is not sellable for the purpose of daily use.
So what should I do? Sell the lpg system, wheels, headlights etc and scrap the rest or just scrap it for £180. Or maybe someone on here would take the whole car for breaking? It is MOT'd until March 2014 and will need brake pipes then. It is star silver z147.
Any takers or thoughts?

If you have the room then break it you can still weigh the shell in after.  :)
