Title: Interior lights.
Post by: ted_one on 22 June 2013, 12:54:06
Still looking for a couple of the older style interior lights for the F/L MV6, they are the 'bug eye' style with the right and left mini spots and a central courtesy light, not the newer Megamos style from the later cars. There is a brand new one on fleabay for £37.00...I don't mind paying a reasonable amount for the units but not that much ::)

Thanks for that Rob,£20..thinking that price is a bit steep,I'm thinking is it possible to fit the later type as they are much cheaper and more available, possibly a forum member has done it and can perhaps can run it past me :y

I may or may not have one kicking around somewhere, but it may need servicing as the Bug Eyes as you call them kept getting stuck and push slightly inwards when doing so, hence I swoped it for a newer type, give me a couple of days and I'll see if I still have it.

Thanks Chris, have you swopped that type of unit for the newer one?and if you have is it an easy fix, because I could easily get the later type and upgrade if that's the case.It would save me chasing my tail on egay as the ones I'm looking for seem to be getting scarce as the older cars are getting scrapped. :y

"Newer" ones have the inbuilt motion sensors so unsure whether connector is the same :-\ :-\

Cheers Rob,I guess the only thing to do is to have a dig around and may be the wiring can be 'modified' to accept the later unit,it looks as though Chris has already done something similar...perhaps he'll confirm that and give the me heads up :y
