Yep a real shame  :( Vectra C is the definition of Boring  :-\

...Wouldn't mind the later VXR one though but the TAX is well over £400 a year..

Always liked the vectra B and had 3 of them , last one was V6 CDX  8) Hate the Vectra C , they just ruined it  :( .. For me this SRI is the best handling Vectra B ive owned and nice snug seats that support , got the extension pull out on the seats which i use a lot . Whatever suits you and your happy with , for me this is it  8)

what you do is get project p6 and call a mate-who knows them inside out-to weld it up/beef it up and you end up with one insane motor--did mine that way-mates thought i lost plot when cyt whole front end off :D-6 of us put the car together over beers/rockabilly music and freedom of our boss's - who stayed in the house doing girly stuff-whatever that is ??? It can be done mate-I gained various friends over the years and respect  them all - we get together and help each other-like on here mate-so if one day -you take a fit of madness-give us a call :y :y :y Mine is coffee an 1 sugar by the way :y

Well you only live once , and we all help each other whatever way that is mate . I know quite a bit about cars and how to fix them but i would help more people if it wasnt for bad health  :-[ never done welding but would pick it up no problem im sure . Most of us have an old car we would like to restore and P6 is my favorite . My uncle had one 20 yrs ago but passion for one started from when i was a nipper of about 8 yrs old  :y

well I remember my old english teacher had a white p6--I got mine while chasing up a Vx cresta-but owner was always out-tried for several days-on last day-he scrapped it :'( However on leaving saw rear of rover sticking out of next door neighbours garage-and went for a mooch--It was bought from new-and failed mot-rust--and was going for scrap-I bought it there and then. That was 1990-put it away --family stuff-started on her in 2002 done in 2003 but buick went recently-originally was 2litre 98hp four pot manual-when we finished her she had vitesse 3.9 and injection-twin plenum-but blew that up :'( then mate told me of a buick 300--had to be done and now got chev for it-but with mum passing away I just remembering how she liked duddy the way she is--have left buick in her-however-there is a consul ::) ::)

I seen a P6 on the bay a week ago , it was beyond repair left in a garden outside for 10yrs , rotted and snapped in half  :( but still bids on it , parts i guess . Maybe i should start buying bits and bobs and build one from bits  :-\

Thing is p6 is endoskeleton-every panel bolts on--yes roof too-bonnet/boot lid is alloy . so it is possible to rebuild the skeleton-as said mine-had no tunnel or front after A post-used a v8 front end on mine-built 3xp6's they are still one of the best handling classics-especially if you know the tricks ;) 2.2 is best all rounder and not much difference in top speed between 2.2+v8 TBH
I am a welder mate-as you know+fabricator too-
