I certainly cringed a bit watching that, see loads do it; left hand holding phone on lap etc..... :( :(  As that film graphically showed, there were other innocent lives lost, and not just in her car...........Perhaps this should be shown on TV

Perhaps it should be a legal requirement to attend an awareness course showing similar BEFORE you're allowed to buy a mobile phone. Even then I doubt it would have much/any impact on those that indulge in this kind of russian roulette :-\

A friend of mine had a low speed accident a few years ago when her mobile that was sat on the passenger seat rang just as she was approaching a roundabout.  ::)  Of course the phone commanded her attention and as she reached for it she sailed straight onto the roundabout, straight into the path of another car! BANG!!!  :o

Luckily no one was hurt, but both vehicles were badly damaged and she was shaken up by the whole experience!  ::)  Sadly I've never been convinced she learned the lesson from it.....  :-\

Still far too many drivers using mobiles i,m afraid, even hands free are a distraction.
Quite a thought provoking film though. :(

That's terrible, I reckon if they had been in something a bit more substantial (such as an Omega) they all would have lived.

if your using a mobile phone when driving withouy a hands free kit you should be banned for 12 months if you get caught that will stop the people doing it seen too many deaths by people using them wilst driving a hands free kit  costs less than a life

Ban talking on phones all together.

It's not difficult to pull in and make/take a call.

What boils my piss is when people place their call on 'speakerphone' and hold the phone in their hand like it's 'better that way'.  oppstards.  >:(

It may seem graphic to some and therefore seen as just an advert, should make the adverts like the Aussies do very realistic and drives home the point.

But in saying that better just to ban texting and talking all together.

Going by that video Text's are worse than a Phone call... But still there should be stiffer penalties against people caught...

Its shown at college's to the youngsters to try and teach them, also shown as part of the new driver cpc,
But nobody seems to take a break o notice, the amount of people still doing it is on the up.

On a few occasions ive seen people behind me on the phone, and just sat there, they do get upset,or if you drive past someone on the phone, let rip with the horns, makes them jump ;D
