Guys an odd one this. I will need a photo id soon & I don`t have either a passport or photo/ driving license. Any ideas ???

Best apply for one or tother sharpish :y

Generally, places asking for photo ID want either of those, as the government checks are deeded good enough, and both are difficult to forge.

I gave my employees photo IDs for when they worked in the shop, or visiting suppliers / customers.
Printed them out on an inkjet, attached a passport photo, and laminated and trimmed to size.
Taken as proof of ID at quite a few places (blockbusters ::) , the scrap yard, the gym when I forget my membership card...)
It's not fraud if you use your real identitity.
Depends what you need the photo ID for.

I said it was an odd one
I need to make a will & one of the clauses included in my solicitors letter mentions I will need photo id. as well as a current bank statement & utility bill.
Is that common practise? & this is the solicitor I used to buy a house. :y

Yep. Solicitor needed photo ID last time I moved house, despite having dealt with all the family's affairs since I was in a school uniform.
Money laundering legislation, apparently. ::)

Thanks for that Kevin :y
How times change, looks as if I will now need to bung £50 to the DVLA
what ever happened to "my word is my bond" sealed with a shake of the hand ;)

Just remember that once you have a photo driving licence it only lasts 10 years and you have to renw it again. A passport is good for 10 years but if you dont want it after you dont have to renew it :y
