Little bro has got a 2002 petrol Santa Fe, new to him a week or so ago.
He changed the fuel filter (in tank, holds fuel pump in place on these), now it won't start. He has found a fault with a coil pack, now replaced, but still not firing. He thinks its trying to catch, but isn't quite managing it.
He is getting petrol at the injectors, and sparks at the plugs.
I've told him to put the old filter back on, as I'm out of ideas.

Google say
Disconnect the battery cables from both posts of the battery.
After 10 minutes, everything electric will reset, with the exception of the odometer. Reconnect the cables and try to start.

I think it nearly came to that - he's out the other side of Cambridge, and when I rang him, there was a lot of despair in his voice.
But all sorted now. Old filter put back in. Not sure I understand why, but ho hum, its working.
