Had noticed that my panel had a crack in it, adjacent to the offside wiper spindle. Wasn't really worried about it, though it was quite large, but have since sourced a replacement. I have just realised the new one is broken too, where the torx screw attaches it to the body, but that's easily sorted.
Anyway, I'm wondering whether to replace the foam part to the underside of the panel. Is it worth it? And does it serve any real purpose? I'd be inclined to put it back on but just wanted to see the general consensus.
Cheers :y

Guess its there for sound deadening - or to soak up water?? ???

Usually the latter ;D
Never thought of the sound deadening right enough.

Have removed said foam from mine :y it does nowt but collect water, and once saturated, drips it onto the coil pack >:(
Which is pants.

rhe foam is there to absorb as much water as possible and dump it on coil pack so GM make more cash :y
