haven't they give up with that rubbish yet ;D ;D ;D
Considering its one of BBC's most profitable programs, errr no ;)
-
then you can see how sad the BBC is ;D ;D

then you can see how sad the BBC is ;D ;D
Interesting response, so they are considered "sad" by keeping a very profitable program on air? ???
Remember its people who tune in and purchase merchandise which makes them the money, why does that make BBC sad? :-\
German humor, really its not existence really. ;)

Errr because its not a sport, there are no "rights" to purchase. ::)
Also all 3 are tied into BBC contracts, but when those expire, stop Sky may do something. Look at Suzi Perry's move from Gadget show to BBC F1.

Must admit although I love the program and the 3 idiots in it who seem to compliment each other, I did struggle with the last series, think they really do need to pull something out of the bag in this series or I'll probably give up and just watch me favourites on the TG Channel.
Far too many Porches, BM's, Merc's and Audi's now for me, starting to get a bored with it all.

It's 'Wilf' ... innit ... ? ::)
Tonight's episode's including a feature on 'iffy' aftermarket parts ... apparently they're looking for motorists who've been tucked-up suffered this fate ... to feature in a future programme.
Wondering if anyone on here could would be a suitable candidate ... maybe start a poll ... perhaps :-X
Time to chill=out with a bottle or three of:

I would like to see some cars tested that real people use day to day instead of £60k + cars that no one will ever get to drive ever . Its far too focused on speed as well . They should get rid of one of the presenters and replace it with a woman :P Jezza does make me laugh though only because he is so stupid ;D Not much on the other 2 .
-
Don't think the new Cascada, VXR8 or the fairly new Astra VXR have been on Top Gear or have they ?

What's a Cascada? The other too have been on. The Astra at the end of the last series iirc.

Not bad looking, thing, but can't see Vx selling them in massive numbers :-\
Why not develop/import a RWD Saloon, surely that would sell better for similar (if not less) development costs :-\

I bet Avis won't be happy when they watch that........ :D :D ::) ::) ::)

Apart from the "breaking in" of the new Astra, good show. Not amazing, but still good :)
-
1st ever Vauxhall reasonably priced car never expected it to happen... That Kia didn't last that long did it.
-
17 grand. Reasonably priced? No.
-
It's a bit predictable in places but still watchable, pees me off a bit that I'm never going to able to afford most of the cars on the show, off to to polish my turds ::)
-
To be fair they were featuring £17k hot hatches which will easily be sub £10k in a couple of years

James May has bottle to do that 12 hour sailing stint.

Looks like only 6 episodes in this summer series.

Me too!
There's nothing in the rulebook that says it has to be about testing reasonably-priced cars.
It's [tenuously] car-based humourous entertainment, pure and simple.
I love it. :y :y
-

That`s the norm due to the high cost of massaging Clarksons ego production

He makes more from his book deals, news paper column & other stuff like his DVD's

As I understand it, Messrs Clarkson, Hammond and May own the rights to and have editorial control of the programme and all its associated merchandising. Things like TopGear live, and the various adventures probably don't leave much time for making much over 15-20 episodes each year :-\
Factor in the BBCs obligations elsewhere, and what we get is probably as much as the scheduling allows :y
-
I may be wrong but my understanding is that Clarkson owns (or owned as istr he sold them for mega bucks ?) some of the rights, but not May or Hammond ? :-\

Vauxhall's Official YouTube Page Uploaded This Yesterday...
