He was truly nuts.I remember he decided to rally an Opel Monza for some unknown reason.He wanted to lighten it and one of his methods was to replace the huge glass tailgate with a Perspex one.Scrutineers said no.Something to do with it not being homolagated iirc.They told him he would have to put the glass version back in,which he did.He just didn't actually fix it to the car,so it fell off half way round the first bend. ::) ;D
He was fearless behind the wheel,and had great car control........most of the time :y

Couple of guys over on ABS have been trying to re-create this car, some from original bits, not sure what happened to it, I'll have to go over and have a look.

This will be of interest Albs .I think  Page 14 shows that car on that day with the man.......
