Well martin took the middle section silencer off today and its was like a tea strainer inside :o Everything collapsed inside and rotted ... sure it was stopping the full flow of gasses and blowing out one of the joints :(
So we opened it up ...

Well it was only a pattern part so had to destroy it :D ;D You will have to put a lock and key on the power tool cabinet when you pop over next else who knows what ill saw to bits next ::)

not even straight cuts tut tut ;D ;D ;D hey you should play with plasma cutter--you would love it :y problem is cost of one :'( but they work :y

Always wanted one of those , but guess i could get carried away with it when losing rag working on mig >:( or peugeot >:( >:( >:(

my step dad cut up an old rover shell-into panels so owner could use them as parts on the rovers he restores-thats how i got engine bay/tunnel for mine--it was cool watching him do that--pity did not take piccies :'(

my step dad cut up an old rover shell-into panels so owner could use them as parts on the rovers he restores-thats how i got engine bay/tunnel for mine--it was cool watching him do that--pity did not take piccies :'(
A few years back I plasma-cut the passenger front floor, inner sill, chassis rail and tunnel edge out of a Triumph 2500 and with a little bit of trimming managed to weld the whole lot into a mate's 2000 estate.
We also had most of the rear quarter panels and wheel tubs, but never got around to doing that job.
Plasma cutters are great tools, but they don't work too well on multi-skinned panels. The best tool for cutting up bodyshells is a 12" disc cutter.

I use small air cutting tool --to cut posts on roofs-or hacksaw-never used 12" cutter on car--yet---been tempted---more than once :y :y

Get some masking tape round it and get it in the parts for sale section.Ralf will have that :y
