Title: Ouch!
Post by: amigov6 on 20 May 2008, 21:21:33
Managed to shut my hand in the door of a shipping container today, no blood but it 'kin hurt & within a minute had half a golfball size swelling on the back of my left hand. Had to keep fingers outstretched or skin would've ripped. The bloke loading me took me to SLady bitshorpe hospital, left me a phone no. for a lift back. Nothing broken & a support bandage fitted. Got truck back to Immingham but not easy with a range change & splitter gearbox when you can't move your hand. Boss took the p*ss but i've got a lay in tomorrow!!! :D

Heather Mills would'nt encourage a "swelling" for me, more resentment & attitude than a teenager, & more full of sh*t than a nappy.
Cheers STMO already taken your advice seeing  i've no longer got to drive in the morning! 8-)

Make sure it's been logged into the firm's accident book mate.
Just in case.
If you're off for more than 3 days they have to report it to the HSE anyway.
