I changed a fuel filter on a 2.0 years ago, and don't remember these hose-end clips. How do you get them off the filter? It looks like you need to prise up little plastic tabs on each side whilst pulling the filter off. Don't like plastic clips, tend to break them.

check maintenance section---info there :y under----fuel filter change :y

Wouldn`t attempt to change filter without new clips to hand

as in maintenance section ;)

Symes: I read that a few days ago, and the part about the special pliers just didn't stick. Don't have any hose clip pliers so I'll try ebay for the fuel line pliers.
RobG: Hmm, the clips on the hose ends appear to be fixed for good to the hose. If they break, what then? I picked up a filter at a local parts shop and it came with some clips, but frankly I don't see how they work with those hose-end clips.

Doh, I just saw the last picture in the guide - I guess those clips do come off the hoses. I won't worry too much about wrestling them off then.

Yep, and requires a close look so you need your head directly under the filter...
...in A1 prime position for petrol in the eyeball when you finally do get the blasted thing off. ;D
