According to Car Mechanics Magazine, it seems that the Treasury are set to increase the tax burden on diesel company cars because due to lower emissions by modern diesel engines the tax revenue has come down, so the Treasury need to increase the tax to ensure that the same level of revenue is maintained... just in case you thought that any of the so-called 'green' taxes have anything to do with the environment. They do not. But we knew this all along...

The words Honest and Politician just don't go together and how can they say they are honest, have you seen some of the expenses claimed and if they are honest, why are they fighting to stop them being published >:(

Lets see how Boris Johnson handles the proposed increase of congestion charge for London. If he does a good job then the Conservatives will get my vote. He is now the most powerful elected person in the country and could hopefully prove to be a turning point on this unfair enviormental rubbish that the goverment keeps spewing on about >:(

True, but too late for me... i sold the Omega with its 279g/km, and my current ride is 179g/km so still well within the £8 bracket even if the ridiculous £25 charge is not scrapped.

To true. I bet the green party are absolutely gutted the have have campained on environmental issues for decades, and now green is popular every tinker is at it!!
