Title: Change of car
Post by: STMO123 on 20 May 2008, 21:59:33
I walked out of my job last Friday and I've decided that I'm just about old enough to call it a day. Bit of gardening, shopping etc. ;)

Anyhow, I told the Mrs that as I wouldn't be up and down the motorway any more and she would, she had to use the astra(38mpg) and I would use the ZT(22mpg). So, it's a bright red MG for me! VROOM!

Same with Barbers in Northwich. You can still get genuine parts but you have to sell a kidney to afford them.

Must be. Parts can't be more than a few hundred so presumably it's more than a grand in labour.

It will be an engine out job, hence the huge labour bill, If memory serves me right. Lovely cars though.

Probably not engine out but, full subframe out job!

The slave cylinder lives inside the gearbox, the master is above the clutch pedal and is sealed for life  (at least it's supposed to be, I've just topped it up ;))

The DM flywheel breaks up and is changed as a matter of course.

All in all, a idiot of a job which is why I've traded it (See new thread)
