Title: 2.5TD steering noise

Ticking or rattling noise when turning steering wheel slightly left or right, car stationary.  Steering wheel oscillates in sync with noise. Hard to tell but noise is somewhere near steering fluid reservoir. Fault is intermittent and not always present.

Anyone know what's wrong? Can I expect an expensive steering pump failure?

is fluid level ok in resevoir or suspension top mount making the noise :-\
