If paypal contacted you they would use your name, I get them now and then, today spammed 2 emails saying my bank accounts needed details updating, I do not have an account with either bank........... ::) ::) ::)
-
Spam Jay - and anti virus is there to detect and stop viruses - not spam emails ;) You may need to tweak your isp's anti spam filters a touch ;)

Once again for those who refuse to listen: Never follow a link from an email, especially an unsolicited one.
-
I'm pretty sure PayPal won't email like that. Forward it to PayPal I'm sure they would be interested in anything like that.
-
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE
Be completely and totally certain, that this, and any email even remotely like it is an attempt to get you to reveal information that will provide access to your account, and that you will lose money if you do what is requested.
If you even think an email is some scam attempt, then be certain that it is.
The big give away that the email s not address to you personally, Like Dear "Fred" "John" or "Mr Bloggs" or whatever your name is.

Like Dear "Fred" "John" or "Mr Bloggs" or whatever your name is.
None of those are my name :(

Wanna buy some foreskin earwarmers? ;D
The AV and other protection software you run would happily let you give away your Paypay account details. And lets face it, some of the dingbats running Linux or Macs don't believe in AV software, nor do any tablets or phones ;)
