Boot won't lock or unlock with central locking using the key fob or by using the key manually in the drivers door lock. I can lock/unlock it manually with the key in the boot lock, but the doors aren't affected. Is it a new boot locking motor or is there something else affecting the boot central locking mechanism?

Saloon or estate :-\

It depends how you leave the boot lock after using the key. If it's horizontal, then the boot is not on the central locking, to stop anyone from opening your boot when stationary at the lights etc. If it's vertical, then it'll lock & unlock with the central locking.
It's in the handbook! ::) ::) ::) ::)

I've already tried the lock in both horizontal and vertical positions, the central locking on the boot isn't working.

Pop the trim off and check the wiring from the solenoid to the car. Might be as stupid as being unplugged or a chafed wire near the boot hinges where the loom enters the car :-\
If wiring checks out then you'll be wanting a new solenoid, but will need to state whether saloon or estate as the mechanisms are different :y

It's a saloon, I'll check the wiring later, thanks.

Thanks, one of the wires had sheared at the boot hinge. It;s been fixed and the boot central locking is now working. Thanks for your help.
