Title: some electrical problems
Post by: omegabdenmark on 24 July 2013, 16:59:51
Hi all

Sorry for my bad English (from Denmark)

I have some electrical problems on my omega

My temp gauge isn't working and when I turn on the headlights the high beam indicator turns on and goes off when I turn on high beam and the left turn indicator also turns on and stays on as long the light is on

I also have a problem with the controllers for heated seats and the heated rear window and the outside temp is showing ---°c

I have tried to tjek the fuses they all seems okay but I don't know which fuses is for those things because I don't have the instruction manual

Hope someone knows what to do :-)

Best regards

Jannik

Jannik, your English is much better than our Danish  ;)  ;)

temperature gauge .... check that the blue wire is connected to the temperature sender unit. This picture is from a 2.2 but the sender is the same as yours

Outside temp ..... the sender for this is clipped to the bottom edge of the front bumper, check it's connected.  I think there is also another connector further back from the sender which corrodes due to road salt etc. A new sender here is only a few £, maybe try a new one.

These are the under bonnet fuses & relays http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/index.php?topic=90458.0
and this is an owner's manual for a facelift (2000 onwards car) most of the fuses under the steering column are the same.  :y
