Not sure about the factory, but the product development team certainly went to the same school :-\

Actually it would be quite interestying to browse the VAG parts catalogue for common sub assemblies and body components...

I suspect that every VW/Seat/Audi/Skoda/Bentley has at least one B pillar component in common ::)
