Title: Sunderland air show

 :y had a great weekend watching all the planes going to and fro from Newcastle airport en route to Sunderland ,spent yesterday at the airport where the highlight was a low pass by the Lancaster , what a noise those four merlin engines made , got home that evening just in time  to catch a Catalina flying boat passing low over my house, and just to cap the day off we had a P51 Mustang circling overhead waiting to get a landing slot at the airport ! top day all round (even though I did get sunburnt ).

Only air show I've managed to see this year so far is Cosford. Off to Bournemouth for the air festival at the end of August, looking forward to that weekend  :D  :y

I thought an airshow in Sunderland was what happened when Chris nicked a motor and was being tailed by the Bizzies ;D ;D ;D

We did the RIAT at Fairford last week with the DTM's  was a good day out :y

Watching it on the local news now. Those Dutch helicopters were spectacular !!!

This has to be one of/if not THE best free Public flying event held in the UK! I was unfortunately not able to attend this year (last saw it in person in 2007 iirc). An amazing spectacle and fantasic day out! :y
