Title: Faulty Crank Sensor

2.2 Auto Bi Fuel Saloon. Would a faulty Crank Sensor still allow the car to run on LPG ???
Car cranks but refuses to fire on petrol. Fuse 18 (petrol pump fuse) was blown, found petrol pump relay jammed & overheated. Replaced Relay & fuse, no more fuse blowing but still no start. There is fuel at the rail when cranking but I cannot hear the pump priming when the ignition is turned on. I have swapped Dis Pack and Cam Sensor with the ones from the Estate but this has made no difference. As said, the car runs ok on Lpg. Anyone any ideas  ??? :y

I'm thinking the leccy pump has fried and taken out the fuse and relay,you've fitted new fuse and relay but pump is probably fubar,hope I'm wrong though :-\

Most LPG ECUs are just piggy backs off the petrol one.  Thus I think petrol flow is the first point of call in this case.

Yep, if it runs on gas you've pretty much eliminated everything other than the petrol pump. :y

Got the replacement pump and required tools next to me as I type. Bloody Kids! ;D

Update:

All fixed, twas the pump! :y  I suspect the idiot youngest stepson I entrusted the car to has been running the car with the petrol tank on fumes one too many times :-\
I handed over a fully Serviced, perfectly running car with the Sage advice to treat the old girl right & she will give you good service for a few years yet! and within 3 months he has blown the headgasket, conned me out of a new waterpump & cambelt and tensioner kit and now the petrol pump, all repairs & parts free gratis of course! >:(
If it didn't result in a guaranteed Biblical Schism between me & swmbo, I would kick his arse out onto the street pronto!  >:(
Anyway, enough of the latest episode of NorthEast Enders ::) Many thanks to those who offered their advice, it was very much appreciated as was the Guide in the Maintenance Section! This car would be razorblades now if it weren't for the OOF and its fantastic members :y
