Having some confusion on the exact spec of a wiper stalk on a 2003 3.2 Elite. :-\
Does this have the small thumb wheel to adjust the variable wiper speed and also the R/S on the end to display the multifunction computer display..fuel/speed/temp etc etc.
A picture would be really helpfull :y from anybody who drives a 2003 3.2 Elite.

No buttons on it, no variable wiper dial either.

Just about see mine here, although mine is 2002 year, the wiper stalk is the same. As it only came with single setting intermittent, 2003 should have rain sensing wipers :y

2002 ish year only have a single variable speed, which is shite. They had that for a brief time before rain sensing came in. I find the variable dial so, so much better in the 2.2
Rain should control the speed for you, alternatively you can fit a VW99 relay, which "learns" from the first "flick" to then fully on, i find its ok on first setting but after that just a ball-ache to use. Some love it though, each to their own.
As it's Elite, should have NCDC 20xx, so controlled through the steering wheel :y

As Tunnie said above, no buttons on the stalk.

First click up is rain sensor position, second click up is normal speed and third click up is fast speed. Pull back for spray and if it's an estate, push forward for tailgate wash/wipe. :y
I have a Dec 52 plate 3.2 Elite and the stalk is the same as in the link. Personally not a massive fan of rain sensors, even though they are on both of my cars. They do work but tend not to respond immediately to drizzle. I know when it's raining so I'll put the wipers on myself. I end up shouting 'its raining you stupid wipers' at the car. ::) ;D

Depends on whether a MID/GID or CID is fitted. MID will have buttons :)

Don't re-call a 3.2 Elite with MID, 3.0 Elite yes in Early versions (1999/2000) But fairly sure all 3.2's had CID/GID's :-\

Bit new to this as have had a 1998 Elite now for 8 years and got so used to its controls.
Just need to locate a owners manual for both the car and ncdc2013 and it will all become much clearer..I hope ;D
